Poppy Lodge is the perfect rural hideaway for one or two couples; you can escape the pressures of modern life, hear birdsong, sip wine by the pool or cook up a gourmet treat from local ingredients.

And yet you are just 5 minutes drive from local restaurants/cafes, and just 15 minutes from supermarkets, boutiques and a larger range of eating places.

Hameau de Rachinette, a peaceful hamlet in Les Sept Vallées, is secluded, yet within easy reach of all amenities and many places of interest (see our Local Info page).

Originally from England, Trevor and Jackie have lived in the area for 5 years. Alongside their traditional french farmhouse, they offer a detached, self-contained gite to visitors of this unspoiled farming region.

Our comfortable and tranquil detached holiday cottage offers superb self-catering accommodation for up to 5 people, with an outdoor private decked terrace. A further terraced area and swimming pool are available, shared with your hosts.

You enter the house from the hallway into the open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area. The lounge has two comfy leather sofas, TV with british satellite channels, radio/CD player and a small library of books and music cds. The corner kitchen is well equipped with an electric cooker, fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, cooking utensils, crockery and glassware. The dining area has a round table with 4 dining chairs.

There are two bedrooms upstairs, one with a king sized bed. The other has a double bed and single bed. The downstairs shower room is fully tiled with a shower cubicle, basin, WC, heated towel rail and washing machine. There are radiators in all rooms and heating is included in the rental price from May to October. A 25 Euro heating charge per week will apply at all other times.

A decked terrace outside the cottage has a table, two benches and parasol. A similar terrace is right beside the swimming pool. Your rental includes shared use of this above ground pool.

We regret we cannot take pets. On-site facilities for children are limited, so please check with us first.
